The Value of Professional Portraits

If you're a parent, is there anything more important to you than your children and family?  I'm sure that the memories you share with them are priceless, and you probably take hundreds of photos of them with your smartphone.  But have you ever thought about where those cherished memories will be in another 10, 25, or 50 years from now?

Today, because of digital technology, we're the most photographed generation in history!  But ironically, in a few years, it's likely that we'll have no photos of our children, family, and friends to look back on!  I recently read an excellent article, written by the Vice President of Google, who predicted that this era will be a "Forgotten Generation", where old computer files will become useless junk.  He talks about how piles of digitized material, including all of your photos, may be lost forever because the programs needed to view them will become defunct, and servers in the Cloud will have crashed!  He goes on to talk about an "Information Black Hole" that we could be facing in the near future.

This is why I feel that it's so important to have professional portraits created, archivally printed, and beautifully framed!  There's nothing that compares with a gorgeous fine art print, a stunning canvas wall portrait, or a handmade, silk covered folio box filled with acid free matted prints!  I would much rather look at the beautifully printed and framed portraits of my grandchildren than look at them on my phone or computer!  And, I have peace of mind, knowing that I'll still be enjoying them many years from now!

I would love to save you the disappointment of a future without treasured portraits of your children or grandchildren!  Please think about how you might feel years from now, saying, "I wish I had taken the time to have professional portraits taken."  I promise you will never regret the investment of beautiful portraits of your children and family that you'll enjoy for the rest of your life!
